Tom Cruise's actions and unusual religion, or lack thereof, have made him quite tiresome, but I still like him in some of his movies.
Mel Gibson is also a human being living in this world with us, who was given an incredible gift and vision that cannot be taken away, no matter what other forces may do or say. He has his personal battles to fight, as do the rest of us. He has a sincere heart, and knows where to lay his burden.
Michael Richards was pushed too far- what does any one of us do when we are pushed?
With the exception of Tom Cruise, on occasion, the people you mentioned do not go out of their way to cause harm to, or defile others.

I was never a big Tom Cruise fan, but after his many remarks degrading women, I refuse to pay money to see his movies. Yes, he is entitled to his opinions as I am entitled to spend my money where I want. Needless to say, he won't be getting a dime from me!! Likewise, I have never been a big Mel Gibson fan and wouldn't have paid to see him before his hypocritical remarks and haven't changed my mind since then. As for Michael Richards, I do not know the details concerning his tirade, however from what I've heard from reliable sources, I would have to say that he probably shouldn't expect any of my hard-earned money to be showing up in his bank account any time soon!!!

I watched Seinfeld all the time just because of Kramer. Now I think I'll pass. I don'care how much you get paid or how uppity you think you are, you shouldn't say everything that comes to mind. You'll be eating your words later.

I was a fan of Tom Cruise until he went on these Scientology rants and criticized Brooke Shields. He has since apologized to Brooke, and she was even at his wedding. But I think he has permanently tarnished his image beyond repair.

I've never liked Tom Cruise, but his weird behavior hasn't really made me dislike him. He hasn't hurt anyone else.
Michael Richards sounds like he just went nuts and I think his behavior was really ugly. It's a shame. I wasn't a big fan anyway, but I have a bad impression of him now.
Mel Gibson I never liked and I still don't like him.
