You have not provided enough information. Prescription medications are given by a M.D., D.O., or Nurse Practitioner and Physicians Assistant to treat a condition you have, like infection, anxiety, pain, etc.
You cannot buy them over the counter. You are also to use as instructed on the bottle or tube.

Some prescription drugs can save lives, some are ineffective and many are sold at a 3000% mark up.

prescriptions saved my life.
without them i'll die in dire pain. they've lowered my blood pressure.. kept my eyes from losing all their sight... and made it possible for me to walk again.
:D
that's one good point.. not very scientific but that would take 3 and one half pages.
