you need to call guy who sold it to you, and get the password from him.then after that you can open and I'd change it to your own.

Sounds like what they call a power on password. You may be able to clear the password if you open the laptop and find and remove the BIOS battery from it. (Plus the regular laptop battery). Let the laptop set for 24 hours and then put back together. Hopefully the BIOS will have cleared and the password will be gone.
Or just ask the person you bought it from for the password...

Try loggin in as an administrator go to the welcome screen and press ALT + CTRL + DEL 2 times it will change to a more win2000 welcome screen.
user name: administrator
password:
so you don't write a password
let me know what happenes savevski363@yahoo.com
if this doesn't work just format it and reinstall.
if you get in you can delete the password on all other accounts that use the PC
p.s. That computer is stolen
If it is a BIOS password just open the thing and pull out wait 5 minutes put back the battery,
No other way, and there is only one battery on the motherboard

That's a BIOS password - it is one of the first things to kick off when you start the pc - booting happens later so it won't help if you try to use a bootable cd.
Your best bet is to call the person up who you bought the notebook from and ask him for the password, unless you wanna open up your notebook and remove CMOS/BIOS battery.

When i first got my laptop it asked me for a password, turned out that you didn't have to type in anything at all, just hit the okay button. I don't know if this will work for you but good luck

you ought to have logged in earlier you acquire it and changed the password at that element. in case you cant touch the broker i could recommend formatting the not ordinary rigidity and start up a clean deploy of each thing (assuming he gave you the disks).

The computer you bought has a Bios lock! This means it is most likely stolen! You will get no use from this computer, the owner was very smart! If you did buy it from the owner, then he has the pass word...
