IF you mean the files of programs you have uninstalled--go to startup--search---click in file names and delete put them in recycle bin--I always hold them in recycle bin few days to be sure I didn't delete something I shouldn't, all clear empty the bin. IF you mean the Temporary Files of programs past go to Tools--Options and delete history files.

Neither of those will delete unwanted files. You need to put them in the recycle bin or uninstall programs.

Delete, then empty the recyle bin and then defragment. Now they are really gone.

I use a program called ccleaner. It is available free from download.com

Follow this link:

and download and install the program. Run the 'cleaner' and 'issues' scans and it will delete temporary files and fix your registry to speed up machine.

Defrag does not remove any files it just rearranges them.
so quickclean is your only option here

run disk cleanup...delete all temp files and cookies...and empty your recycle bin...
