I am going on a ski vacation with my brother to some place in Europe this January. We are both in our 20s, and money is a factor, but not the only factor. We would like to choose a resort with a fun nightlife.
I think we're leaning towards a resort in Switzerland, France or Austria.
Any suggestions?

We're both at the intermediate/advanced levels. The skiing is definitely a factor!

Definitely Bulgaria !!! We have very nice resorts like Bansko, Borovetz and Pamporovo. Prices are reasonable and u will have lots of fun

Austria is pretty reasonably priced for skiing. Most of the resorts are in small towns but they have fun pubs. I went to Schladming, Austria once and that was pretty nice. Once for new years I went in Hirchegg in the Kleinwalsertal. That is a pretty good area. The ski pass includes the entire valley and all the buses so you can stay in any of the towns. That is more in Germany, on right on the border anyway and the bigger town (I forget what it is called) is in Baveria. I think you can ski out of Innsbrook, Austria which is a bigger town and Karlo Vary in Chech is supposed to be really nice and cheep.
Have fun. Oh and make sure to get insurance. I sprained my knee skiing in Austria once and I am glad I had it.

Is the skiing a factor. how good are you. IF it's a trip of a lifetime and you ski well go to the best. Val D'Isere or Trois Vallee in France. St Moritz or Zermatt in Switzerland there's always Cortina in Italy. Lech in Austria. Look at a map for connecting nearby villages

Try the Alps, starting from Wien until france, or maybe Romania, because it's cheaper and it does worth it. I've been many times in Romania, due to that I live in Romania and I can say it's really pleasurefull. :D
