I want to build a cheap gamming computer and I can't decide werater to use an Intel or AMD processor. Can anyone tell me which one is better and why?

Intel Core 2 Duo is hands down the best. See the links below. If you're on a budget, the E6600 is the best bang for your buck, its like $320 the last time I looked.

I just had a new computer built. The computer shop told me that Intel has caught up with AMD and that the 2 are pretty comparable now.

AMD, has the leg up on Intel rite now! The Turon2 x64 has a much faster front bus! Intel is tring to play catch up...

Try Going to Tigerdirect.com to see what you think is better....i highly recomend AMD Athlon 64 FX. it may look slow, but i just built a computer with that CPU and it kick intel outa the game...it runs at 2.80GHz At 2000MHz front bus side. intels cant catch up to that speed. intel is way better

get a intel xeon with 3.2ghz and 1333Mhz fsb and youll know the difference

try search pc builder on internet - great fun!!!!
