yes, there are many cherry trees that can be grown in a zone 4 hardiness zone, which covers most of new brunswick (at least the south and east-central areas.) In the north and west part of new brunswick you may have less choice, but the wild black cherry can survive to zone 2. As to how, go to a local nursery next spring and buy one. Follow the planting instructions, keep it well-watered and staked, especially the first year. or, you can also buy seeds, but that would be a long-term project, indeed.
