CA or Chartered Accountant doesn't need English, even if you don't know you can do appear for the exam and become a ACA. If you are going for the American exam for Certified Accountants, then you need English, if working as a CA in India don't worry.
But you should be well versed with accounting rules, that is foremost important one.
Go ahead, Best of Luck!

Exam has certain English requirements at some level, say B.com, or M. Com.
Once you pass this exams you will need to read new laws and application of those as it is applied to the cases on hand. Once in the field you should be able to improve on your English as needed. Your client hopefully will use your local language most of the time some may use English.
As needed you can have a lawyer on hand to explain and understand the new law. You may take some help from a secretary that is good in english as well as local language.
