it starts as fun and ends up as a habit.and then it becomes just reflex action for which no xtra effort is needed.

I don't think people do lie for no reason enless they have some sort of condition. No matter how small the lie, there must be a reason, wethere it be to make one sound smarter, to make one seem cooler, or just to spicen up life. I think it's impossible to lie for no reason.

You could also say, why lie, reason or not. It serves no real pur[ose.
You will get caught anyway.
