i presently live in jacksonville and LOVE IT!
we get 3 seasons - summer, spring and fall. winter gets cold but it's like a cold fall upnorth.
the people are very nice nad kind
housing is super- plentiful and well priced
jobs are bountiful

I live in west central Florida and I like it because it's not as expensive as South Florida (which is nice, but expensive). I also don't live near the beach so I'm mostly protected from hurricanes. However, it's only a short drive (30-45 minutes) to the beach for a weekend and I'm also 30 minutes from Tampa's airport, an hour or so from Orlando's airport and about an hour from the Disneyworld area.
I would like to live in the panhandle because the beaches are beautiful there, except that the panhandle always gets whacked by hurricanes every single time.
