I quit about 16 month ago and at the last days, I smoked 20 cigarettes a day.
Was it difficult? sure, it was the most difficult thing I have ever done.
I had tried to quit many times and I had failed until the last at temp which was success full
my advice: do Not give up trying to quit, if you failed. you will succeed eventually.
and Quit just for your sake

Yes, about 1-2 packs a day. I have quit for three months before, I was doing good until I thought I could buy a pack and then go back to not smoking. Then I started smoking again, I still want to quit though.

I quit in June of this year. I was smoking about a pack a day.
I ct'd it. It took me a few times of buying a pack and smoking a few and then feeling guilty and throwing the cigs away so i wouldn't smoke anymore. But, after digging them out of the trash a few times i got to where i would pour water in the pack so the cigs would be ruined. After i realized it was just wasting money, i finally stopped buying them. It was difficult, but i quit because i quit everything else and this was the last of it... it was time. It's so worth it too, because now i have started running... and i know that there is no way that i could run if i was still smoking. Good luck!

Ex-smoker of almost two packs a day. It was difficult to quit, but I did quit. I just got up one day and never smoked that first cigarette. Had to chew on gum A LOT. I kept cigarettes around, that way I knew they were there and I had a choice of smoking if I really wanted to have one. If I didn't have them it would have made it more difficult because I would have wanted them more. Hope that makes sense.

I have never smoked in my life, but I have family that have smoked for a long time and quit cold turkey. You have to think of the benefits. Did you know that a smoker who quits smoking can smell and taste 50% better within just 48 hours?? That's amazing! Plus you cut your risk of developing heart disease and other serious health issues by quitting. Nicotene is a very addictive drug. Be strong and good luck!

Nope. I quit smoking June 20th. 1 Pack usually lasted me 2 days. I smoked for 8 years. I thought it was going to be extremely difficult to quit, but for me surprisingly it wasn't. I just quit cold turkey. Woke up on that day, and just never had a cigarette since.

I've smoked a pack a day for almost 30 years. I have no desire to quit. Not a bit edgy, just keep em close to you - it calms the nerves. Care to join me in one? LOL

I smoke anywhere from a .5 to one whole pack a day.
Work really helps me cut back.
If you wanna quit then just make sure it's for you, and nobody else. I have had countless people tell me that.

For the non - smokers, really good for you, you don't smoke,
But unless you know what it is like trying to quit, please don't preach to me. Easier said than done.
It's like a man telling a woman he knows what she's going through during childbirth.

1. I gave up almost a year ago
2. I smoked less than 20 ciggies a day
3. It was hard to quit, but I was determined to not give in, it was sheer willpower.

Good luck giving up, it is totally worth it in the end.
