I wanted to see what the percentage was. Kids are constantly being rocked back and forth, and I would like to see if it stays with some people. Thanks!

Yeah, it's awesome. I had a friend in high school that used to rock back and forth with me during all our classes. It's awesome, we even had contests to see who would do it faster, it made our teachers go crazy!

Well, usually people who rock back and forth in adult life have or had some kind of disturbing thing happen to them. Look out for the ones that do it with a strange far-off stare...

I'm not quite sure could be that when you were younger and said your Mother would hug you when you felt scared or sad and rocked you in her arms you know you see it in movies, and its not a bad thing at least you have an action for when you feel anxious or sad/lonely its a good thing I personally when sleeping rock side to side makes me feel safe and comfortable! Yes, I often rock back and forth. My wife says it's annoying, but I enjoy the sensation. I mean, if people didn't enjoy it, why invent a rocking chair?

yes..it is proven medically to be soothing for anyone at any age..
I work on a Geri-psyvh ward and we use it to comfort and redirect our aggitated patients..it is a humane way to get control of an out of control situation...
