Do you think it is possible to get a good scion tc automatic for around 7 grand maybe at the auction. I really want this car and I have heard alot of good reviews about it especailly for teenagers.

i mean it doesn't have to be the latest one, maybe 2005. That should be good.

It's possible, but it would probably be salvaged.

No way Jose. The predicted depreciation of a tC is not great. When I bought mine, the only "used" one on the lot, with about 10000 miles was just slightly less than the 2007 coming of the truck that day fairly loaded including auto transmission. The least expensive used sports coupes seem to be Mitsubishi Eclipses because they do not hold their value well. I saw a 2006 originally priced at 31,000 on sale used for about 23,000. tC's drop barely in value and with Scion limiting their annual sales units, it will be even harder to find one priced at 7,000. Not saying it is is impossible but doubtful. Good luck.

1. you won't get one for $7000.. or even 10-12,000, unless it's been in an accident.

2. I've had my '07 tC (manual) for 5 months, liked it when I got it, but hate it now. It's totally boring to drive, too soft suspension... but since you want an automatic I'd guess you're not looking for fun.
There do seem to be some older Acura RSX's available for 10-12k with high mileage though..
Even better, you can get a mitsubishi eclipse GT (V6) used for around $9000 with mid-range milage. Something I wish I'd done instead of buying this tC.

My dad works at a dealer and he told me that you could probably find one in the auctions but with a crash so it will probably come out to 10 grand fixed, by the way how old are you?

No! I just got a 2007 for 20k there is no way.. it will be from a flood (Hurricane Katrina) or it was in a very bad accident!

If it's $7000, it's either been in a flood or totaled and rebuilt.
