When you have your first doc visit they should give you tons of papers on the kinds of foods to stay away from, meds that are safe and etc... They tell you not to eat anything that is not cooked all the way.
Toxoplasma~A harmful parasite. It causes an illness called toxoplasmosis. You find it in raw and under cooked meat;unwashed fruits and veg's.

PS~ Listen to Lady J!! That's exactly what they tell you at the Doc's office.

Don't think it would hurt the baby. I craved steak when I was pregnant. It is always safer to eat fully cooked meat.

I wouldnt. Instead Go for the crispy round the edges steak which is charcoal black and the chef has really treated it to alot of heat and when you take a bite from it..it really does remind you of when you last had a dental appointment...plus 1 bite from it can last at least 10 minutes . So go treat yourself to the steak iv described...i dare ya.!!!!!

With all the things that keep coming up in the news, I would NEVER eat rare anything. Our meat (or veggies) are no longer safe.

You should eat your steak well cooked. Don't eat sushi, soft cheeses, undercooked eggs, etc. or drink raw milk. Also, don't eat deli meats unless they've been cooked. There are certain illnesses you can get that could be harmful to your baby.
