Electric fuse:
An electric fuse is a type of overcurrent protection device. It has as its critical component a metal wire or strip that will melt when heated by a prescribed electric current, opening the circuit of which it is a part, and so protecting the circuit from an overcurrent condition.

Melting point :
The temperature at which a solid and liquid phase may coexist in equilibrium.

High melting point of an element is when its melting point is higher than a reference or a standard element's melting point and so is the definition of lower melting point.
