They had such a good relationship and lost their first born son .
It was such a terrible situation.
They were together for eight years and wev'e been together for three.
Now that we have a son, why do I dream about their relationship together.

i think that you have some kind of fear going on in your subconcious mind.some times when some thing is bothering you it will go into the dreams. there is an unresolved inner conflict.pray and ask god to help you with this and have a heart to heart talk with your husband and let him know how you feel and release these fears back into the wilderness. be happy with your husband and baby and go on with your life and dont look back.im sure he wants to forget the awful nightmare that he had to go through as well.he is with you and you both have a good relationship now.

Because subconsciously you yourself are paranoid that he will leave you for his ex. Especially if these dreams began after the birth of your son. Now that your a mom you are even more worried that he will leave you & your son. This could be a trait you have for instance a confidence issue either in yourself or in your relationship. Do you find yourself constantly comparing your relationship to his with his ex?? Sounds to me like this might be an issue especially when you mention his relationship with his ex as a "good" relationship also how you view theirs an 8 year relationship as longer and possibly therefore stronger. And yours as only 3 years a bit shorter and maybe weaker in your mind. This all sounds like things you may have put into your own head because of insecurity. Furthermore maybe you know more then you need to about his past relationship. Does he or has he talked excessively about it with you?? That alone can show your boyfriends internal desires of be with his ex and regrets of ever leaving her. These are all my thoughts hope they help some.

Dreaming about that is a sign of insecurity within your relationship. You think that because they went through so much stuff together, that they could find themselves with each other again. You have to remember that there was a reason for them breaking up. He has now chosen to be with you, so just accept that and don't put unnecessary stress on yourself.

During our waking hours, our five senses are constantly conveying information and images to the brain, but during sleep this is not the case. The brain generates images within itself without any external sensory input. Therefore, what we see in dreams and the actions we experience in them are at times like hallucinations. This makes it possible for us to do things that are violations of natural laws, such as flying like Peter Pan or falling from a cliff without injury. Time may be distorted so that the past is seen as if it were the present. Or if we are trying to run away, we do not seem to have control of our movements—our legs do not want to respond. Strong impressions and experiences that we may have during our waking hours can, of course, affect our dreams. Many who have experienced the frightful atrocities of war cannot easily forget them, nor can some forget the feeling of being attacked by a criminal. Such disturbing experiences while we are awake can emerge in our dreams, causing nightmares. Common things that are on our minds when we go to sleep can surface in our dreams. Sometimes when we are trying to solve a problem, the solution comes to us during sleep. This may reflect that not all sleep consists of dreaming. A portion of it is thinking. A book about dreams and our brain notes: “The most common form of mental activity in sleep is not dreaming but thinking. Sleep thinking is not accompanied by sensory illusions and is not bizarre. It tends to be commonplace, often concerned with the real-life events of yesterday or tomorrow, and is usually banal, uncreative, and repetitive.” Some people feel that the subjects of their dreams have special messages for them. In order to have the dreams interpreted, they keep a notepad by their bed so that they can record them when they awaken. Regarding the usefulness of books that try to give meaning to dream symbols, The Dream Game, by Ann Faraday, says: “Dream books in which you look up the meanings of dream themes and symbols are equally useless, whether they be traditional or based on some modern psychological theory.” Since it seems that dreams originate principally within the brain, it is not reasonable to think that they have special messages for us. We should view them as a normal function of the brain that helps maintain it in a healthful condition.

You are just being paranoid now that you have a son. It's your way of preparing for the worse, which you shouldn't let bother you. If he wanted his ex, he'd leave and go back to her. I have dreams like this to, but I always remember that it's me he is holding at night, not his ex.

I always heard that you either have dreams of what your afraid will happen or what you want to happen. So maybe you are afraid that he will go back to her deep down inside even though you dont really think that he will.

because your paranoid and thats how everyone think, there is nothing wrong with it, it doesnt mean they're getting back together, it just means you worry about it sometimes but its alright, lots of people worry about it, all you have to do is to try and get it out of your mind and you'll be fine

nothings going on w/ them, its just you have that idea in your head and cant get it out, nothing to worry about
