Then mark no. As an employer, I understand that from an applicant of a current employer. It is no big deal to me. If they put it on an ex-employer I get suspicious and if they put yes to a current employer I am grateful.

I have never used it against an applicant that they requested that I could not contact their current employer. The way I look at it is that if the person you are working for is so insecure as to fire you for trying to find a better job, I wholly understand why you want to leave.

I work for an employment agency, we come across this daily. You would check no and then right next to it put a little comment that you are still currently employed there and looking for better opportunity. trust me when I say the interviewer will completely understand this and work around this situation. It's very common.

Mark "No". Most employers know that most job seekers have jobs and want to keep them unless they get the job. This is mainly for people seeking secondary employment or to keep the application itself consistant. My new application don't even have that section. I just use the references that they give.

Just put yes, they arent going to call anyway.....However in any event that they do, most likely it will be too late because you already have the job going for yourself so dont worry about it

MARK
NEITHER == SEE EXPLANATION
THEN EXPLAN WHY.
SIMPLY TELL REASON FOR CONCERN--THEY KNOW.
THEY WON'T CALL WHILE THEY PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION.
