My boyfriend and I are looking for something romantic to do near Phoenix, we'll drive up to 5 hours for something special. Any idea's ?

There are some great cabin rentals around the Sedona area. Check the Sunday paper travel section or one of the free mags they have in the lobbies of places like Denny's. Or if you have a little extra to spend, check out L'Auberge de Sedona:

You can then do one of the Morning Champagne Hot Air Balloon rides over the red rocks & the San Fran peaks.

In December, The Phoenix Zoo has a special called "Zoo Lights". The zoo is covered with Christmas lights and they play holiday music all night. There is even a synchronized light show they have about every 30 min. I included a link also

The phoenician is an amazing resort!! That is where I proposed to my wife almost a year ago. You can also travel to Sedona which is about an hour and a half north of Phoenix.... they have beautiful red rock mountains and amazing bed and breakfast type places.
However, my first choice would be the phoenician!

My husband and I sometimes go to the outdoor cafe in the Biltmore Mall on Camelback and 24th St.
We drink wine, eat and watch people. Then we shop and walk around. It's very pretty there.

It's your lucky day...I just got back yesterday and can give you and ENTIRE DAY of beauty. Start with a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. It is fantasitic. Then go to see the botanitcal gardens....a nice walk in the desert. Then go to HOUSE OF TRICKS in Chandler...I GUARANTEE YOU IT IS THE MOST ROMANTIC RESTAURANT ANYWHERE!

Depends on your idea of romance. But there are plenty of spas where you can have couple massages, your own hot tub, etc.
