Ignore him. Trust me, he's going to have to publicly admit to his wife that he spent the money on you in order to get it back, and he sounds like such a weasel that he's probably not willing to do that. I'm assuming he threatened you with a lawsuit in order to recover the money. Legally, he has no case, he freely spent the money on you, there was no agreement for repayment, etc. Now, if he's threatening you physically, I have 2 words for you....
RESTRAINING ORDER.
Hopefully you've learned 2 things from this experience.
#1, don't mess with married men, they're nothing but trouble for you!!
#2, no one will give you anything without expecting something in return, don't accept gifts that you're not willing to pay back in some form or fashion.
Good luck to you!

I have been reading some of the responses and some have been bashing you for hanging out with a married man. More or less this man was a sugardaddy...where did you find him and can I get one? :)
All kidding aside I would fight fire with fire and threat to confront his wife. These were all gifts and when a gift is given one should expect something in return.
I hope all works out. Good luck with the new guy.

That moron paid for your trip as a down payment to get into your pants. Let the clown put something in writing or by voicemail and go to the cops and get a restraining order or just let him know the repercussions of what will happen if he continues his threats. i.e. let his wife know

While you shouldn't have been hanging out with a married man to begin with, you shouldn't have taken any money from him either.
But, now he wants the money back? I wouldn't give him his money back. Maybe this will be a lesson learned for him that he should be spending money on his wife and not other women.

restraining order - get one.
Of course he's making threats, because he knows there's not legal way for him to get that money back from you- you signed no contracts, made no agreements.
Seriously, I'm glad you went for the single guy and stepped away from the married man - there's nothing but bad news in guys that would cheat on their wives.

You can stop being a homewrecker and using married men for money for starters. After that, your problems should clear themselves up.

Don't give him a cent back! All those things were gifts! Just change your number and move on.
