Black stand-ups use the N-word all the time! Infact they refer to Whites as Honkey's Cracker's Master and white trash etc. I say its all a sign of ignorance but if i am going to stoop to that level then i am not backing down with cowardly apologies etc! Kramer's Career is 86th regardless!

yes it is hypocrisy. you are right.some say that we took the word from whites to take the control of our identity as black americans.i use the word.i use those other words too.this is the real killer, in private there are still white folks that call blacks, the n-word.and there are black folks that call white people, whatever it is we say in private.i think that he is lucky that the black folks in the audience did kick his azz.i'm not saying any of those words are right all i know is we have to live with people and sometimes people say the craziest things.i would not stand up in a room full of white people and say derogatory things, because i would not want the shoe to be on the other foot. and im with you his career is totally over.

I think using the word ****** is wrong for black people to use it, out of respect for their ancestors and what they went through for the white people to stop using it and give US respect. But even at that It is completely different when a white person says it because they have no place or identification with the word. As far as black ppl saying honkey, cracker etc. yea those are racial slurrs that shouldn't be used, which some ppl think is "hypocritical" but the difference we didn't use those word while we were repressing white people, whipping them and hanging them. On a whole 'nother level, Richards used that in a anger context, therefore, showing that it was not even to be funny but straight racist and spiteful. Another thing I find very disturbing, even off the word ******, is how he said 50 yrs ago you would be hung upside down with a fork in ur ***? are you serious? u would actually talk about and make fun of a time of lynching, murdering someone...what?! wow. He clearly must feel this way about black people and had mistakenly let it out when his buttons were pressed by them, his anger unleashed. I used to like him too, on Seinfeld...ewww. I have NO respect for him.

First of all I don't and I know many other who don't use the n- word freely and openly. In fact I don't like to categorize any race like that. Secondly I do agree its a double standard. Third, however, when constantly uses the word plus stating that 50 years ago we would have hung you, is going WAY too far. He took it out of the context of his standup, which is different. I've heard white comedians before make racial jokes and towards people generally, along with blacks, and yes they never get docked for it, because its in the context of a joke if you're a good comedian. Kramer lost his cool and didn't mean to be funny.

Whatever word is used to offend anyone...whether it's the N-word or Honkey's. If you say it to offend someone or because you are upset, it is not acceptable. Regardless of who else says it, it's the time and place that is important.

There will always be race issues. When everyone can learn from history instead of repeating it, the world would be in a better state than it is now.

Because even though slavery has been abolished for over 200 years and all the slaves long dead, some feel that they are owed something. Ever notice that only whites are ever called "racist"? If a black cop pulls over a white guy it's nothing, a white cop pulls over a black man he's "racist". I think the whole black/white thing is stupid. We're all human beings for God's sake. By constantly pointing the finger and saying the word racist and playing the race card for everything you are only perpetuating the problem, not trying to solve it.

It really doesn't matter if it makes sense or not or if it seems hypocritical. Most people know that a white person doesn't use the N word to and the way Richards did. Members of the audience took extreme offense over something he knew better not to say.

I agree that there can be a lot of hypocrisy when it comes to the n word, but I think it would have been okay had he been joking. When a comedian says stuff like that, they are using it in their material. He said it out of anger b/c he was being heckled. Comedians get heckled all the time, and they usually know how to handle themselves. He obviously did not. I belive that if he had used the n word in a joking way, he would have been fine.

to me it is not right to call someone a bad name about their race.. like blacks, n*****, or hispanics sp*c, muslims, towel heads, etc. they are all wrong, the only thing i dont get is why it is ok for black people to talk bad about white people and use them in their funny acts but if a white person was to do it they would be on the front paper being called a racist.. i dont think it is fair either way, black people are always calling us whites crackers etc. we dont like it just like how they dont like the n word.. we should just stop talking about each other in comedy and come up with some original stuff and not talk about the other race.. like the redneck comedy tour, they dont talk about another race, just them selves.. maybe some people might learn something from them

I learn that btw Hasselback and Goldberg, and to be trustworthy i'm on Hasselback's part. Goldberg's argument grew to become into laughable and her and walters in basic terms ganged up on EH bc she is conservative. it is so unhappy whilst democrats combat to maintain the N be conscious alive, yet republicans combat to place it away bc it extremely is a derogatory remark that hurts. Whoopi says that blacks use it the way they elect. If blacks do not elect whites to call them the N be conscious than they could desire to not use it the two.LOL and that i actually elect to work out Jackson could desire to combat for his job over his use of the be conscious on natl. radio. in the event that they don't crack down on him for this than there is Double accepted in this society and opposite racism def. exists. they won't in any respect come from an analogous worlds bc EH is white AND WG is black. having pronounced that neither of them stay in OUR worldwide.
