Jim Thorpe -- scored 25 TDs and won the national championship. Also won 2 gold medals that year.

In 1912 the Canadian game was superior to the NFL (in fact right up to the '50s and early '60s). So Norman Leckie of the Grey Cup champion Hamilton Tigers.
