No! I'm totally compulsive about it! I check all the lights are out, and that the plug sockets are switched off too, whenever I leave the room! It's not just because I like to save electricity though, I'm convinced that there may be a fuse blow and start a fire someday!...

I only leave a light on as a signal. The back porch light is on because the dogs are in the back yard, the laundry room light is on because I need to fold a load, or a bathroom light is on because I need to clean that one. Other than that lights off. As my Mom always said, "I don't own the electric company, lights off."

I usually am in the habit of turning them off every time I exit a room. It annoys other people because I do it even if there is other people in the room, it's just such a habit to me that I don't even think about it when I do it.

Depends, usually I turn the lights off if I am not going to be in the room for awhile, but if I am going right back in the room in a few minutes, I tend to leave the light on.

I rarely have the lights on when I'm IN the room. This is not an issue with me. Plus, I live alone, so it easy to keep track of these things.

No that is a waste of electricity (which is mainly generated with oil and coal) and it is a waste of my money for the electric bill. And people can see it from afar, why advertise waste.

Well, saving electricity is not just about personal preference, it is about necessity. It is AMAZING how much every little bit matters. Unfortunately, as much as I know all this, I still forget sometimes...
I am trying though... I am just a bit forgetful.... :)
