3 weeks ago i had my first Pelvic Exam. And it soo painful.
It was a really sharp pain, and i was in tears the whole time.

The good news is, the results came back normal.

But i have to go back for further tests. I am soo nervous about it all.

Has anyone else experienced this?? Can i take anything to help with the pain??

I remember my first exam. It hurt like a dickens and even now is still not exactly what you'd call a comfy experience. The first time I even bled for a few days. Honestly? I think the more you get it done, the more you're able to relax your muscles, so the less it hurts. Try taking some Tylenol before and after (NOT Asprin which could increase any bleeding you might get!). While you're on the table try to remember, too, that if your doc is female she's gone through the same thing, and if he's male he has to turn his head and cough! :-)

Try to relax. Maybe take some tylenol before you go and after. Sometimes discomfort is normal for short periods after an exam. Speak with your doctor about this extreme pain that you had last time.

That happened at my first exam too. I don't know if it was from being nervous and tense, or from being a virgin at that point and never stretched, or because I was about to start my period and was just tender.

But I do know that my last exam didn't hurt at all (a little annoying, but not painful).

If it still hurts after 3 weeks, then something is wrong.
And since you already had the exam, I doubt that they are gonna do it again since all came back ok.
Hope all is going to be fine.

are you as nervous as a skunk in a perfume factory?
no need to worry!!! relax!!
if you are negative and you still are in pain go back and have a blood count taken and have them check for appendicitis
or you may just have a gas pocket. around or about your appendix.
believe me there is nothing serious wrong with you that a doctor cannot take care of!!
