I was watching Dawn of the dead...and was just wondering...Why do zombies eat flesh?

Because they are former vegans who died of malnutrition. They are very hungry, but still don't believe in harming intelligent life.

It is in the Zombie Code of Ethnics, in the Zombie Guide book.
Chapter 2, page 103, subsection 3c; To exhibit behavior that would produce a state of disgust in mere mortals, the consumption of human flesh while such mortals are in a position of observing said act, shall be done with vigor and vitality.

What about the vegan zombies? I hate it when I take my zombie date out for a nice meal and she orders the entire cadaver but only eats the eyes then says she's full. Zombie broads, go figya If sliced thinly enough, I dare you to tell the difference between brain and pepperoni.

They only devour flesh( not eat it) it is a biological way to spread the virus. I encourage you to read the book by Max Brooks entitled I believe:The zombie survival guide

Real zombies do not eat flesh, or drink water nor wine. What they are considered to be is cheap labor, until their flesh falls apart and their bodies rots away. They are suppose to be dead and not kin to the vampire and no they can't murder any one unless you catch a virus from one of them falling on top of you............... One more thing their mouths are sewn shut and that makes it very harder for them to eat or drink anything.....................

As already mentioned it spreads the virus and sustains them. But on top of that zombies are animistic and work off of very primal instincts. So if you turned what would be the number one animal you would see running around? Humans! All smelling of fear and tasty.

According to Buffy tVS, that was a myth. Zombies don't eat flesh unless they're ordered to by the person that ordered them to wake up.

They have a unending hunger and see humans as prey. Since they are dead the eatten matter passes right thru them. Also, the part of the brain that is still working is a very primal piece.

Not only flesh, but specifically, brains.
They don't like to cook, and it is hard to get a reservation at anywhere nice when you're a zombie.

Well, here's what I think. Reason why zombies eat FLESH is because that's an alternative food. See, they LOVE cows----problem is they are lactose-intolerant! *hehe*
