False negatives are certainly more common that false positives BUT the more different KINDS of tests a person takes (tests that look for different hormones etc...) make that possibility much slimmer. My best friend had 2 false negatives and indeed WAS pregnant as it turned out, she finally tested positive after her period had been late for 1-2 wks at the time she finally tested positive. Keep in mind though, the earlier you test the less accurate the tests are because of differences in the rate of hormone production, and the level required for a positive result to occur, etc.... So it is always best to wait till you are ACTUALLY late for your period a few days before taking the first test... You will save money, stress, and time in the long run.
It can be hard to relax and not worry about it but pregnancy is one of those things that isn't going to change with the passage of a few days, most generally speaking. So worrying about it and knowing will not actually change anything other than to possibly make you sick or something, which is never good, especially if you ARE pregnant.
Either way, good luck dear :)

A urine test can be wrong, if you don't have the hormons to show it. A ultrasound can't see the baby till alittle later. So they say we don't see anything, you are not pregnant. But a blood test can't lie. A blood test can tell you if your pregnant from a few days in to it. This never happened to me or anybody I know!

No. It took mine several weeks to turn positive (I knew the first week).
That sounds more like an ectopic pregnancy or a pregnancy with problems - like low HCG levels. It doesn't sound good that's for sure.
HCG is the hormone that turns the test positive. It's like the glue that makes the pregnancy stick - low hcg levels will cause you to miscarry. Your story doesn't sound medically plausible.
Sounds like someone tested too early.
There's a type of cancer that can give you a false positive, but eventually a healthy pregnancy is going yeild a positive pregnancy test.
As far as ultra sounds, a pregnancy less than 8 weeks does run the risk of being missed b/c the uterus is so small that the embryo could be hidden by the bladder. This is why they typically do a vaginal ultrasound. When doing an external u/s, you might need to catheterize the patient.

it is very rare for a blood test to have a false negative, and impossible for and ultrasound to have a false reading unless the technician did not know where to look.

if its only been recently since you got pregnant then the tests may not be showing yet. also if you are having a miscarriage or about to then they can also show negative.

Why don't you try to find a new OB/Gynea clinic. You might discover that you have just been tricked by your previous one.
