I honestly dont know that many republicans. One is a family member and we get along well and even have very entertaining debates via email for the whole family to enjoy. I live in a town with a major liberal university there just arent alot of republicans where I live.
I would hope everyone could get along though.

As long as they're not ranting and raving about it during every waking hour, then sure.

Heck, the friend of my wife that I get along best with is the most liberal - and I'm an arch conservative.

We talk music, family, church and charities, etc - there's so much more to life than politics!

Probably yes for the most part. My daddy always told me never to talk about politics, relegion or how much money you make. As long as you stay off those issues just about everyone can get along.

I've seen it both ways. We had a lady in our office, years ago, that allowed her liberal views to confuse, and lose many of our customers. She was impossible to be around in the office as well. She got fired. To be fair, I'm sure it goes both ways. People need to keep their political views out of the work-place.

Yes, typically.

But unless the setting is among friends, politics should not be discussed. Like religion, it is so complex we can't reason through every implication of our beliefs, and quick conversations do not fully address what we believe. In this way, it can be divisive and I avoid it.

Yes, most of my friends are Democrats. We try to stay away from political talk when we are together.

I never discuss politics or religion in public. I'm too old to get the sh*t kicked out of me.

I learned the hard way never to trust Democrats.
They think everyone "owes them". They always have their hand out, and try to mooch off everyone.
They are not trustworthy enough to do business with.
