I think they most definitely will. Dwight howard is a beast. He has really developed into one of the most promising big men in the league, and is really starting to anchor down that defense. Grant Hill is back and playing well, though who knows if he'll stay healthy. What i like the most is their depth. With Nelson, Dooling and Arroyo, they can play whoever has the hot hand at point guard, and also can go small when needed, playing two out of the three. They have the outside shooting of garrity and turkoglu and it will only get better once Redick comes back. I think they'll make the playoffs, but they won't be a contender until Howard really develops some post moves. Right now he overpowers everyone, but soon he'll just be able to score eery time from 8 feet in like shaq or duncan. The other big thing that will help is if Darko can continue to develop as a defender and rebounder to complement howard. If he can do this, as well as hit some open jump shots then the magic can be a serious contender in the east.

Hell Yeah they'll make the playoffs. Ever since Dwight Howard came into the league i always thought of him as the next Kevin Garnett. Anyway what is up with Dwight Howard, the last two games he had more than 20 points and 20 rebounds. If he keeps it up, he'll win MVP and the magic will be in the playoffs for sure. And do you remember who they got in the second round of the draft Dwight Howard was in? It was Jameer Nelson, who I think should win most improved player of the year. Nelson was one of my favorite players to watch back when he was in college, and he still is one of my favorite players to watch. Only thing missing is 3 point shooters... Oh WAIT they already got some, Gordan Giricik and Hedo Turkalou are awsome three point shooters. I think Howard was right when he said it would be difficult for any visiting team to come into Orlando and get a win.

Yeah, i think they'll make the playoffs, but i dont know how far they'll get. howard is going nuts this year, hes doing incredibly well, and the team is actually working AS a team.
im still wicked curious about jj redick though. in college he was a great shooter, but in the nba, i just dont know if he can do it. i really am eager to see how he fits in, or IF he will fit in at all with the magic.

Yes. Howard is having a break out year and with the point guard by committee (Arroyo and Nelson) they are going to get at least to the second round of the playoffs.

i think so, they ended the season last year on a pretty good run, and they have one of the more dominant young big man in the league in howard, especially in the guard heavy eastern conference.

I think the key for them is Grant Hill staying healthy and their point guards being more consistent.
