Sounds to me that The Infamous Vinnie G has the right ideas here. Basically, in the old days (I'm talking Victorian Era or even Middle Ages) men had their wives and their mistresses. The two represented different types of life interaction, different benefits to the male. He wanted both his Madonna and his whore. (Is that a word I can use here? if not let me know and I'll change it.) Now many men are coming round to giving up the mistress. That should please the wives. But these men still want and need something else, something different on the side. All in all I'd say the trade-off was a good one. Why complain? OK, you weren't complaining, just wondering.

I don't think you should tell him what to do...guys go to the strip clubs and honestly half the time they are just chatting and drinking beer while occasionally looking up. Most strippers are not hookers and are not looking to go home with every man they see. I think this is a matter of trust. You have to trust your man that he is with you and only you.....I suggest you do what I did with my husband...I went to the strip club with him and his buddies one night, sat right by the dance floor hooting and hollering. Looking around as well, like I said, most guys were drinking and talking (except of course for the really young innocents and the older perverts). If you tell him what he can and can't do (aside from cheating of course!) he will start to resent you a little. You can definitely let him know how you feel about strip clubs but again, you have to trust that he is not going to cross any lines. Of course, having said all this, if he goes quite often then maybe you have an argument there.

Because of lust. Men love lusting after women. Pornography is the biggest seller in America. More than Coke and Pepsi combined. This is because porn is more addictive than crack cocaine. Once a man is visually stimulated by porn and masturbates, a chemical of endorphins is sent rushing through the pleasure zones in the brain which create a "high" much like cocaine or heroin. This is extremely addictive. Once a man does this, he becomes hooked and cannot stop. Slowly, over time (varies per man) sometimes 5, 10, 15 years the man becomes so addictive that he cannot stop and gets worse. He'll need more of it and it becomes more perverse. That is why you'll watch Dateline NBC and all these middle-age guys are getting busted for trying to have sex with a minor. And some do it more than once even after they get busted! So don't think it is not an addiction because it is.
You see, the porn industry targets young males so they can get them hooked early in life. It's just like the tobacco industry. Keep them a client for life. No harm done right? Wrong. Porn is going to be a catastrophic epidemic in this country and a lot of people are going to get hurt. Wait and see. This problem is going to explode.

i'm a woman and i like porn, but i still prefer sex. i'd say that my guy is completelyyyy satisfied in bed, i give him no reason not to be, but they're still attracted to the thought of seeing some cheap girl they don't know get railed. now, don't ask me why men enjoy this because as a fan of porn, if you look at the chick's face while she's gettin' it, it's like an automatic turn off. they're not even attractive from the neck up. it has more to do with the fact that they're doing things that turn a guy on and whether or not he already gets it, it's someone else doing it. i guarantee that any guy, if told by his spouse, girlfriend, whatever, that he could have sex with other women and she wouldn't care, would be alllllll over it. they're sexually driven pigs.
i am yet to meet a man who wishes nothing more than to be faithful to his wife. you see every type of man getting himself dirty below the belt for no ******* reason while he's got a loving woman at home. i don't understand it fully, i never will, it's unfair and it's degrading to the women on the other end who are left feeling inadequate after catering to him whenever he asks.

I'm not a strip club fan (around here, a night at a stripclub costs about $ 200 - and I can't afford that!) but I do look at porn.
There are a couple of reasons that guys like porno and strippers.
One, there are things we fantasize about that are so dirty we'd NEVER want to do that with our woman (and if our woman was willing we'd think she was disgusting), but we don't mind imagining it with a woman we don't care about.
That's why your friend's boyfriend flipped out when she tried that stripper routine (it's one thing if some random chick acts like a cheap hooker, but that was his GIRLFRIEND! She's not supposed to be a s**t, that's his woman, she's supposed to be a respectable classy lady!)
Two, many men are sexually disatisfied with their relationship, but they want to stay with that woman for other reasons - so they channel their excess sexual energy into strippers and prostitutes so we don't have to cheat.
Three, what you women consider attractive and what we consider attractive are two different things (you girls tend to like women who are skinny and flat chested like the models - we like our women with curves) so you might not think the porno stars look good - WE DO.
Four, relationship sex has a lot of other stuff tied up with it - like arguments over who took out the garbage or why didn't you call me last night - fantasy sex doesn't have any of those real world complications, it's pure lust, unclouded all the relationship stuff.
Men need sexual fantasy, sexual fantasy that does NOT INCLUDE YOU. It doesn't mean we don't love you, it just means that we need another outlet. Don't get offended.

The drive for sex in males is right behind breathing and eating. It is the 3rd strongest drive in the male of the species. For 100 million years nature promoted that. About 1000 years ago an upstart religion said god didn't like that. How they seem to know and no one else is a mystery. Most other cultures and religions accept multiple partners in marriage. Monogamy is actually a minority. Why do men like to go to topless bars. It is called biology, and until you are a guy you will never understand it. Don't try.

I like all the women that feel compelled to answer a question like 'why do men...?'
Especially when it reveals the issue at it's core.
It is about entertainment, about having some fun with no expectations, no strings.
What women can't understand is that it has nothing to do with the guys relationship...NOTHING!
It is NOT about the girlfriend or the wife. It reflects nothing as lacking or missing. It does NOT mean your man wants to cheat.
Once again I say get over yourself because it has nothing to do with you.
It has to do with fantasy and a healthy outlook at sex in general.
Why do women read those softporn romance novels?
Should we think you would cheat with every cute actor you may like?

men are visual creatures, we are hard-wired that way. biologically speaking men are programmed to spread as much seed as possible its the sight with which we choose our mates, for men its sex, while females look for the best father to reproduce, with them it forms a hormonal emotional bond which will transfer to the offspring at birth. that is the way it is, we are only a few thousand years out of the jungle. thats a blip in evolutionary terms. we have created a standard to adhere to, but we are instilled with basic instincts in spite of what all the civilized folks would like to think. i'm not passing a moral judgement merely stating the facts as i see them, good or bad.

I guess for guys, its the fact that the lady theyre looking at in NOT their girl friend, its a fantasy. Havent you ever drooled over a celeb or some cutie that youve seen at the grocery store?

Because sex is supposed to be part of the deal for spouses or siginificant others (particularly according to men who are into porn or strippers). But the idea of sex with a stranger, with no commitment and no responsibility is extremely attractive to a person of shallow or no morals.
