Devil Driver: Exactly the point - soldiers DO THEIR DUTY. And I'm proud of that. So shouldn't the people who send the soldiers out to fight do THEIR duty, too? What would happen if the units in Iraq today decided to do nothing and wait for the next unit that gets rotated in to take care of things, which is essentially what Congress has done?

To smcin - Passing the budget for FY2007 is NOT the duty of the incoming Congress, it was the duty of the outgoing Congress and should have been completed by October 1. You can't point to the Dems and claim it's their fault this time. And, FYI, I am NOT whining, I am asking why the current Congress thinks it is OK to abdicate their responsibility to the nation.

And what's up with that Democrat wanting to institute the draft? Scary. At least the Republicans are for individual accountability and choice. Additionally, you can't blame the fact there are bills that are still sitting on the table only on Republicans. Just because they controlled Congress doesn't mean they are blank tickets. Republicans seek to represent their people, etc., they don't just stick together and pass a half-assed bill. Also, you could only expect the Democrats to do the same thing if they were the one's going out. Anyway, the Democrats can just try and push the blame to Bush in the end. They never take acountability themselves.

Why do liberals whine about everything? They wanted the job, they got it. Quit bitching and do it. Why do they point their fingers everywhere but where they belongs. And no, that's not a reference to Monica Lewinsky. Democrats won the majority. Now we get to watch the interest rates go up and the stock market go down, the unemployment rise and the economy decline, just like in the days of Clinton. Why do Republicans ask soldiers to do their duty? Because Clinton didn't do his when he had the chance.

The reason we had a Republican congress is because the Democrats didn't do their job. As far as the military, they joined of their own free will, and they follow orders.
