Because we are looking for someone to just say we're okay. That's it's okay to not be perfect.
Unfortunately, most people will take your weakness and use them to destroy you. So, we keep up our guard.
True friends are rare.. but they are worth their weight in gold. They love us, faults and all.

It depends on whose asking I suppose.
I don't think it "hurts" to admit things and actually when you get to the admitting part of it it should ease some of the tension off of the situation because clearing the air can also be very therapeutic.
As far as different perspectives, the world wouldn't be the same if everyone thought, acted, and performed the same. The difference of the human being race makes it what it is, a diversification of thoughts, beliefs and ideas that make us each unique in our own ways.
Don't ever be afraid to have a different perspective because that is what makes "you - you".
Be proud of yourself and try not to to let the little things get ya down. We all need to see a little sunshine once and awhile and its okay to allow yourself those rays!!!
.................think about it.............

We want people to think we're this perfect human being, and that's just not true, there are things that we don't like to admit to that would change the way people see us, but the truth hurts sometimes, and those people that really care for you, will be able to deal with the truth and those that aren't really don't care about you,

I think it's because a human being is usually proud of him self, I mean not like other creatures (animals, plants,....etc), And we he does a thing that seemed wrong or not appropriate to someone, he feels shy or even sometimes ashamed of what he did.
But I think admitting the truth is in it self something that would make him (us) proud, because it means that he's got the courage and he's brave enough to admit, and not all of us can do that all the time.

We fear being told the truth of a situation, and do not wish to be judged differently in case our feelings or way of life differ from the vast majority.

Well, all I know is I used to be very much that way. But as I grow older, I don't care what others think as much! It's definitely a PLUS!

Because.....well, because it's like laying out our heart, bare....think about open heart surgery, or brain surgery...those places are the most delicate and fragile physically....so it would make sense, I think, that they're also the most delicate places figuratively as well.
