He is a semi-villain... The main character in The Inside Man.
Empire Strikes Back.
In King Kong, he is portrayed as a misunderstood good guy. King Kong dies at the end so you could say the bad guys win.
Bandits is about a bunch of thieves who pull off a heist, and get away with it, so once again you are looking at a semi-villain situation.
Oh, I just thought of another... Cars. The main character gives up winning the Piston Cup, to help the other car across the line.
