does any one know if there are panthers in the north carolina mountains because my husband ran into one on the way home from work...

Oh yeah thats why he was late, he ran into a wild panther. I have heard some good ones in my time, but that takes the cake.

Yes I got attacked by a wild Panther while walking along a trail in Boone, NC it was scary.

There may actually be wild panthers but I doubt he ran into one because they are nocturnal and very reclusive. Much more likely it was some other wild "Kitty"

We still do have a few, although the numbers aren't what they used to be. There are alot bobcats, however, which may be what he ran into.
