that you have to maintain because people around you expect you to (like a status or something), but you don't really like doing / maintaining anymore?

Well, I have to maintain my straight A's... I think-- and so do a lot of other people-- that I'll be valedictorian, but I'm questioning myself about that now. "Do I really deserve it?" because I don't work hard for my grades, and sometimes I feel like I'm cheating other people who work hard to get good grades. However, sometimes I just refuse to let people get the best of me and I keep doing what I'm doing. I'd just be going against my nature by giving up on my academics. It has just sort of been ingrained into my memory. "Make 100's." "Make A's."
I already have a theory about why I do what I do, but hell... whenever I make like a B or something, there's a big deal about it among my peers. "Salma made a B!" "Whoa! I beat Salma! Nah!" "Salma, you're losing it."
I just want to say, "F*** you" to everything and just quit at times... Thanks for letting me vent. :-)

Being a good speller. Ever since I made it to the city spelling bee in 5th grade, everyone always expects me to be amazing at spelling, when I'm really not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not horrible, I'm just not the best in the world at it. It's just that everyone's expectations are always so high and I can't always live up to them.

I will probably have to stick to the fact that I've promised for years that I'm not getting married and definitely not having children.I don't really want kids but I have been thinking bout getting married even dreamed about it last night
