im a level 21 warlock and i wanna know how should i spec out if i wanna do maximum damage with me and my pet put together>? right now i have a scubbus. are warlocks good? and if u know some about the game or especially if your a gm please email me and tell me anything u can so that i can get better. thanks [e-mail]

Warlocks are *very* good, actually. Most groups, especially end-game, like to keep warlocks around - between healthstones, soulstones, and the imp bonus to stamina, you can provide a lot.

Max damage is a tricky thing - warlocks can draw aggro fairly easily, and don't have a good defense other than fear - which isn't the best thing to use in dungeons. For flat-out direct damage, destruction is the biggie. For demon-buffing, the demonology tree is superb - a soul-linked master demonologist is *very* difficult to kill. And if you're looking to handle multiple targets, affliction is good for DoTting everything in sight.

My recommendation is to hit the warlock forum on the worldofwarcraft.com site - there's folks in there who have done all the math and have figured out the "best" specs out there - as well as what the best gear is.

Lets begin, I got lvl 60 lock (warlock)
First off, are u on PVP or PVE server casuse this matters alot, do u run mostly dungeons or quest/grind, do u like to party or mostly solo and never group with ppl.
If u are on PVP u will need demonology cause any encounter with melee (ecpecially if u are allience and oponent is undead) u are pretty much toast no matter what. on PVE server is a diferent ball game, Affiction is steady DPS and VERY mana efficient, with mana tap and bandages u will never need to stop and drink or even if u do u will do both (eat and drink) at the same time cause u only stop when both bars are almost gone (neer do that on PVP or u can get ganked so easily) also on PVP u will get PWND hard till u hit lvl 42 (i think that is when u get deathcoil) so if get attacked u can deathcoil chain fear and dot and immo or bolt (by the way shadow bolt is one of the weakest and not mana efficeint DD in the game).
Now as to personally:
I am Soul link spec and night fall after cause i am on PVP and i love seing rogues stunlock me to find my 4.5K life + 30% transfer making it almost 6K life is way to much to keep me stunlocked. so when i got my soul link.
The botto line i made tons of chars before i knew what is what and how so have fun and exepiment, believe me LVL 60 is the most boring LVL raiding blows ATM

hmm...i don play locks..so i aint gonna act pro and give you wrong info. but from wat i know and hear and see from my super lock frenz, they do max out dps in raids by speccing afflic/dest
and if they grind and farm for items, they would go for demonlogy.

and ur other question...are warlocks good? they are not good..they are god. in battlegrounds, the least least least least least i would want to fight is firstly, warlock. secondly, shadow priest. i have a high warlord lock guildmate. he can solo 4 alliance players and the same time and win....yes, in battleground and they aint noob alliances.
