It happens in society over and over again-a person says racial slurs(or anything else that offends a certain group)doesn't apologize unless he or she gets criticized. It's going to keep happening-why is anyone surprised by this? I'm not.

By the way, this is a Black person asking this question. Many individuals in many ethnic groups have hatred towards another race. This isn't something new, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.

One thing is for sure people can't change how other people feel. If that's how Mr.Richards feels... so be it. We all have something deep and dark inside of us that when PISSED we'll unload. Yeah...it tripped me out to actually see/hear what he said. but SHOCKED...I'm not.

I feel bad for the guy b/c he probably gets crap like this constantly....he just got tired of it and decided to say something back - unfortunately he used the wrong tactic and now ppl are ticked off. If he wasn't a 'star' no one would care. ((I don't care)).

I think it was tacky, but he was just mad, and you have to see it for what it is...stupidity on his behalf.

I don't know why he bothered, maybe to save face. I would have probably appologized too b/c you really can't classify people under a group like that...it's hurtful.

I just hope it's off the news and air waves soon. He is getting too much attention!

I guess he has to apologize, didn't they make Mel Gibson apologize as well?

Let me ask you-- when was the last time you talked about him???? The old saying - any press is good press works. He saw the coverage Mel got and needed a boost to his career. He got it.

After watching the video of his tirade, he had to apologize, the guy said stuff about 50 years ago, etc. He went way overboard and is clearly racist.

I agree. They heckled first and he retailiated. It's just that he has
to think about his career because he's famous. What I don't get is why Jerry Seinfeld apologized for him.

I think an outburst like that is pretty detremental to a career.. especially one like his.. already dead. Whether he meant it or not, he was just tryin to save face.

have you ever stopped to consider that he may really be sorry? have you ever gotten caught in the moment and said things you wish you could have taken back? blacks call each other ******* all the time and it's not called racist; oh, yea, I forgot; double standard.....BET, Miss Black America, Black Mayor's conference, black chambers of commerce..........the whites don't specify and single these things out; don't need to.... the blacks have already done it
