He probably is gay .... you are still in school. He is probably not comfortable in coming out to anyone at your school. From the way you are talking about him, doesn't seem like you are a friend I would want. If you can't accept him either way ... back the ***** off and leave him be.

Can you not accept him as just a human being? Are you that shallow? Grow up little girl.

i think asking you out is a pretty obvious confession.

Personally i dont think that being gay or straight really matters in the world, and that the goal is for the heart to find someone to love, and not deny that love by filtering out genders.

But to answer your question, he could be.. maybe not. Just take his answer as truth, even if you doubt it.

Thats the respectful thing to do

Sounds like he enjoys a bit of gender-play and doesn't want to be into a particular masculine stereotype.

Is he gay? He might be or might not be, just like anyone else. If he is, let him come out in his own time.

If he is your friend, don't worry about it. Let him be himself and enjoy each other's company.

Gender representation, gender identity, and sexual orientation are three different things. Your friend could just be a little effeminate. He could be transgender. Or he could be an effiminate gay guy who hasn't admitted it to himself. There is no way for you to know.

Ohhhh bless his poor heart. Maybe he isn't sure yet or he just doesn't want to accept the possibility that he may be gay indeed.

You asked him and he said "no". If he isn't ready to come out yet, or he is heterosexual, it shouldn't matter if you are really his friend.
If he does come out as gay later on, he should tell you then if he is your friend as well.

90% of feminine males are heterosexual.

That is opposite of what stereotypes tell us. Therefore, his femininity may actually be a pointer to his heterosexuality.

If you thought for a minute that he wasn't gay you wouldn't be asking this question.
