The Exorist

"The Exorcist". That was a scary movie. The part where she was in bed, raising her hands up to the sky and there was this light that shined around her and you realized that, behind her, was the eneterence to Hell. And, the fact that she was able to turn her head completely. Spooky.
Another movie they said was scary, was "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". I did not see that, yet, but, the cover on the DVD set sent chills up my spine.
So, these are two of the scariest I can think up right now. Trust me, you are going to get plenty more from a lot of people.

Well no horror movie has ever scared me that much apart from some pieces of Ringu but that doesn't count since its Japanese. The BEST (but definitely not scariest) horror movie I've ever seen is The Exorcist (1973). Many also claim Psycho is scary but I've yet to see that movie unfortunately.

The only true scary movie I saw was Faces of Death. It was a series that came out on tape. It's the scariest of all of them because the death's are all video-taped and they are real.

I assume that you want an opinion, because you are asking a pretty subjective question.

The scariest in terms of "fun" for me was The Ring
The scariest in terms of disturbing was Hostel.
