I have a friend who is a boy that i've known over a year now. He's really nice and funny and can always make me laugh, even when i'm upset. He doesn't make me feel uncomefortable when i'm talking about feelings and family trouble. I call him when i'm lonely sad or bored and he paints and insant smile on my face. Even when i was switching schools when i really didn't want to he stayed behind with me and we talked about it and he cheered me up.The problem is he...well let's put it this way, he's popular and thinks because i'm nice to him and want to be friends with him i have a crush on him, which i don't. i found out because he has a friend he's known his whole life and would never lie about what he said, that is my friend from this school that i switched to. It really makes me mad that he thinks that because it means he doesn't really think of us as friends even though we're best friends to me.
Should i be mad? Help!

No you shouldn't be mad, but what you should do is clear up any misunderstandings of how you really feel about him. Let him know that he is truely a good friend and for what it's worth, you would never hit on him or want to ruin the friendship by becoming anything more than just friends. Let him know that he has been there for you through thick and thin and has brighten up many of your sad days. Let him know you truely consider him to be one of your very best friends and that you would feel akward if you two were dating romantically.

I wouldn't be mad. Guys are retarded sometimes. I would tell him how it is if I needed to. But if he still acted like the friend he's always been, I'de leave it alone. He might think it makes him girly if he has you as his good friend, so he makes it sound better, to be more manly. thats how I see it.

No, you shouldn't be mad. Remember, you are dealing with a boy, they think different than girls think. Anyway, he may just be bragging to this friend of yours to make himself look big. It's okay if he thinks you've got a crush, you know the difference.
