See if you can fit the word "flange" in to tomorrow's lesson. You should do that every day. Pick a word and see if you can fit it in to conversation. I do that nearly every day.
Today's word was "unpossible". I've managed to sneak it in three times so far today.

You must have confused "gesticulated" with "gyrated", lol.
To answer your question seriously (which never happens, right?) I would use the word "gesticulated" in the following sentences:
I accidentally cut off a driver and they appear to have gesticulated impolitely at me.
The attorney asked the young man what the bishop did to him and he started gesticulating in the most disturbing fashion.

Gesticulate means to basically use body language, particularly with reference to the arms.
Example:
The basketball coach gesticulated to the referee that there wasn't a foul, then threw off his jacket in a mad tirade.

it just means to use a gesture, like pointing or using your hands or another body part to communicate rather than spoken language.
correctly in a sentence:
"Ebert gesticulated his approval of the film." (thumbs up)
or
"I didn't want everyone to hear me, so I gesticulated that we should leave."
