Depending on the amount of stretching and movement of that area, you could see some bleeding there for a few days. Just like any cut or tear in the skin or tissue of the body, it can pull back open and bleed a little again. Now the hymen does not normally just break unless you do something to cause it, like sex, so if you have not engaged in something that would cause the break, you either are starting your period or need to see your obgyn.

If it's just a little spotting then I wouldn't worry. If you had an injury to the genital area which caused the hymen to break (for example you fell on a bicycle or got kicked in that area) and there is severe bleeding and/or pain then I would see a doctor.

Yes, hymen's bleed when they're broken. The blood is probably just coming out since you went to sleep and were laying down. That's what happens with my period.

So, the bleeding should be done. If not, I suggest talking to a doctor or a trusted friend/adult.

It doesn't last long. Wear a panty liner if it makes you most comfortable but you shouldn't bleed as much as your period and it should be gone by the end of today. Taking a shower may help also.

if it happened last night and is still bleeding, i'd see a gynecologist just in case.
