That's an excellent question. I won't be a hypocrite about it, though. I've been guilty of it myself from time to time, but there are some repeat offenders here. It seems that the Politics and the Religion & Spirituality sections draw more of this sort of behavior than any of the others. I guess it's because they are both such personal topics and it's easy to hit a nerve when you discuss them.

It has been like this since May of 2006 when it went public. They (Yahoo!) tried to kick a bunch of people out, but others come in, or the same ones come back, and it all gets going again. Just part of the American political landscape, I think.

Because a lot of the "people" who post in here are kids, and think it is fun to say outrageous things and bash others just to get a reaction.
Ignore, report or rise to the occasion with a suitable retort.
I guess it depends on your mood or energy at the time.

That is the depth of what most people can say. I can defeat any liberal in any debate on the facts. I ask questions and get dumb answers that do not at all address my question. There are a lot of conservatives who are fed up with what goes on in this country. While resorting to taunting and name calling is not the most effective way to get your point across, I understand their frustration.

We have generations of liberals because we spoil our kids with stuff.

Absolutely not.

This is supposed to be a forum not a bashing contest.
