If so, what was it?

When I was younger, there was a bottle of Old Spice that went around our family for about 8 years.

I have it now, still sealed in it's box.

They don't even make this kind anymore.

Absolutely! And I don't feel bad about it at all because if it's the choice between soething sitting in a box in the attic (& eventually being sold at a yard sale) or making someone else happy, it's a no brainer. I am truly fortunate to have most of what I need/want at any given time and believe re-gifting is sharing that fortune. I am very careful that it isn't re-gifted in the same circle (friends/family) so as not to hurt the giver's feelings. And I never re-gift handmade things, but certainly have with things like novelty socks (don't wear them), decorative items, books and other media (especially if I already have it), jewelry that its not to my taste, etc. Have a couple opportunities to participate in grab bags around the holidays, which is a great re-gifting opportunity. Also donate to various toy/gift drives....the ultimate re-gift!

Yes, many times. I really have everything I need and often I receive gifts that I know someone else will use, while I will just leave it in the box or on a shelf. I have re-given books, small kitchen appliances, all kinds of chocolate and candy, a sweater, and toiletries. These days we ask some people to make donations on our behalf to a food bank or the cancer society or something like that so we get fewer things we don't need.

Yes. Some bath soaps and lotion - I thought it smelled awful, but the person I gave it to thought it was the best stuff they ever got, and wanted to know where I got it so they could go get more. I about died when I had to fess up to re-gifting it and not knowing where the product was purchased at.

Yes, I feel bad (well, maybe not too bad, he-he) but I have a couple of times. One time it was a sweater that my mother-in-law gave to my daughter, and was 2 sizes too small and there wasn't any larger size despite me telling her the correct size for my girl, she insisted on getting that one size.....so I gave it to my niece who's birthday was after Christmas.
And I have given co-workers some Amaretto Tea that my sister makes ( she just knows in her mind that it is the best ever, and it really isn't!)

Absolutely. Chocolates! I hate them. Seems that too many people have no imagination and always bring them as hostess gifts...last year at one party alone, we received 9 boxes of chocolates! We put them in food bank box.

Sometimes if the kids get something for birthday or Christmas and they have out-grown it, I'll regift it to Toys for Tots or homeless shelters. My kids have plenty...
