Buy a box of Borax and add a box of Powered Sugar. The roaches will eat it and go back to their nest, killing the nest. If you have a pet, be sure and put it in a container, with holes in the lid and place it safely, where your pet can't get into it.

Woo... Did this question bring back memories and give me the shivers...!!! Ewwww... Anyway, when I was a teenager a family moved 2 houses down from us. They were a very strange family (and that is putting it lightly). The married couple had three small children, the youngest still in a crib. One day the woman came over crying and my mama let her in. She had the baby who was too cute for words and I'm not certain what was discussed because I took the little one into the living room while they talked in the kitchen. After they left my mom was searching the kitchen for cockroaches. I asked her why and she said she saw several crawl out of the woman's purse. My mom is not snobbish in the least. So I knew she was being serious. We found two that day and squished them. The following day the neighbor asked my mom if she could come sit with the children in her home (since the baby was sleeping) while she went somewhere.? I still don't know where that woman had to go. I'll have to ask my mama. Anyway, my mom sent me over to keep an eye on the children for about a half hour. The mom was already gone by the time I walked into the front door. I don't know how to put into words what I saw. They were everywhere. They were in every corner, every seat, all over the floor and ceiling. I went to check on the sleeping baby while crunching the bugs all the way and found that they were crawling all over her while she slept. I immediately went to get my mama. We took the children out and she called family services. I felt so sorry for those sweet kids. There house was beyond filthy. It stunk like nothing I'd ever smelled before. So then the owners of the house evicted the parents and bombed the home to get rid of the cockroaches. After they did that all of the surrounding houses were bombarded with cockroaches and not normal ones either. They were like mutants. Some white in color and deformed. I remember seeing them often in our home after that (for the short time we stayed there). We tried everything imaginable to get rid of them and didn't succeed. We ended up moving along with other neighbors because the problem couldn't be fixed. It was a rough move. Dad made us unpack everything at a large park and shake it out before we could take it to our new home. I don't ever want to experience anything like that ever again. I will pray for you and hope that they have better stuff these days to kill them and that you won't have to endure the suffering we had to go through. Good luck!

Gel For Cockroaches In Dubai

The most effective and still safe, odourless way of getting rid of cockroaches is to inject "Good Bye" Cockroach Killing Gel. Pl. keep this gel at the places where you find cockroaches. Leave the gel for 2-3 days and keep on cleaning dead cockroaches. This is 100% proven. I have tried myself. You will not have cockroaches at least for 6 to 8 months again. All the best. I am not sure whether the same is available in India as I had procured the same from Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The word cockroach comes from the Spanish word cucaracha which means "crazy bug". The old way of treating for German roaches is by cleaning out you cabinets, spraying inside your cabinets and spraying around your baseboards. This method doesn't work. This method will only make it seem like your cockroaches are gone and only for a short period of time. The cockroach retreats back into your walls and cracks and crevices.

The best way to rid your home of cockroaches is to use baits. You can call your local pest control company, but be careful. Not all companies are honest. If your local pest control company tells you they can rid your home of cockroaches for $39.95, beware. Getting rid of cockroaches in your home takes time. There will be extra charges.

If you want to get rid of cockroaches yourself, go to your local hardware store, homecenter or even Walgreen's and buy some ®Combat roach bait gel. It usually comes in a syringe or tube and apply this gel in all cracks and crevices in your home. All kitchen cabinets ( you don't have to empty your cabinets ). Just apply it in tiny dots about the size of a BB and no larger than a pea. Apply it to all corners of your cabinets and anywhere else you see cockroaches. Even boric acid works well. If you have a heavy infestation open up all your electrical switch plate covers and apply in the wall through the switch plate covers.

Of course, this is not all that should be done. If you would like to learn more on getting rid of the cockroaches in your home and what to expect, How To Get Rid of Cockroaches.
German Cockroaches are some of the most persistent cockroaches in the United States.

The German cockroach, as with any pest, can become an enormous problem in your home if not taken care of. If I were you, I wouldn't let these cockroaches multiply. Each egg capsule contains from 20 to 40 eggs and can infest your home quickly. German Cockroaches are mostly found indoors but can be found outdoors. This is usually due to a heavy infestation indoors. They like tight places and this is usually why you find them mostly in cracks and crevices and mostly at night. They are nocturnal. But in a home with a heavy infestation you will find the German cockroach everywhere, day and night. Cockroaches have been identified as a common cause of asthma.

Health experts say "inhalation of cockroach feces and body fragments, particularly among inner-city children, has resulted in an explosion of asthma cases in the past two decades."

Being in the pest control industry for 12 years, I've learned quite a few things about cockroaches. There are five basic types of cockroaches that may enter our homes. These basic types are the German cockroach, American cockroach, smokey brown, Oriental, and brown banded cockroaches.

The two smaller types of cockroaches are the German cockroach and the brown banded cockroach. These cockroaches are about 1/2 to 5/8 inches long. The larger types, which most people call waterbugs are the American cockroach, Oriental and Smokey brown cockroaches. These roaches are about 1 to 1-1/2 inches long.

Most cockroaches do not fly but on occasion the larger types such as the American will fly across a room with much embarrassment to you.

I lived in a place a few years ago that was infested with roaches. Was so embarrassing when i had visitors. Tried everything to get rid of them, but nothing worked. The landlord had it fumigated and that didn't work. But then he found this new stuff, i don't know what its called, but its brown and in a tube. All you have to do is put a tiny spot of it in corners of cupboards drawers and rooms. When done it just looks like someone dropped a speck of caramel. Anyways, the stuff really worked. All the roaches died off within a week, and never had any since. A year later a friend of mine took over the lease and she never even knew there was a roach problem before. I hope you can find this product because others have also told me that it works like a charm, i wish i had the name for you. Good luck

There are lots of way to get rid of cockroaches. Most , however dont work. Chemicals are the only sure way. Try not to use boric acid. It takes forever. If you absolutely cant use chemicals buy two or three live chickens and turn them loose. They eat them up like popcorn.

They make this stuff called "Roach Rid" that can be found at most co-op and/or feed stores. It's a white powdery substance with no odor and is very inexpensive...I think we paid $6 for a box. We put some behind the fridge, behind the washer and dryer and in the back of the cabinets under the sink in the kitchen. Inside of two months all bugs were gone. The way it works is the bugs walk through the stuff and carry it back to the nest. We lived in a quadriplex (4 apartments in one building) and after 3 months all units were bug-free. It is poisonous to animals, so if you can find it make sure you put it down in places that animal can't get to. Good luck!!

First the basics. Keep you home clean. Clean the kitchen, bathrooms, toilets, drains every week. I am not talking of the usual cleaning. The real clean-up. Spray the pesticide in every outlet in these areas. Cockroaches are attracted to paper, food, old clothes, thrash. A good Pest Control company should be able to help but one must follow what they tell you. In case of cockroach menace, you may have to give a lot of repeat treatments.

Other than a exterminator? There are many products on the market that "claim" that they kill roaches. But the only real soultion I have ever found is a process that takes longer than a couple of days. My friend had roaches real bad.. It was terrible.. First cause.. Is that she would not keep all sources of food for the little mosters put away. Make sure you do not feed them! Even picking up cat and dog food after feeding the animals, also keeping your garbage cans empty. Then go to your local wal-mart, and get the roach gel, "Combat roach gel" but it looks like a syringe. place a strip of this "roach food" everywhere.. in cupboards, on baseboards, by the fridge, stove, and any small crevice that you can find, also place in the bathroom, in cabinets and by the toilet. The roaches eat the gel then they carry it back to their nests. Since roaches are cannibals, the other roaches will feed on that one after he has died. And then they will clear out the nest. One good thing to look for, if you see white roaches, that means it is working.. By making the new roaches sterile and unable to breed. Continue to watch the area's where you have placed the roach food, if it seems like it is disappearing, that is a good thing, but keep reapplying it to that area. Because they are eatting it, and dyeing!! But like I said this is not an automatic "fix it" solution.. it does take time. also kill every little bugger that you see.. 1 dead roach equals, thousands roaches never born.
