I'm an atheist but I think a Christian theocracy would be less scary.

I'd rather live under a Christian Theocracy, because I'm Christian. Though I wouldn't want to live under either, the Government has no business dictating what I believe
The Muslims want a theocracy more. They have governments that are just that right now! There are no more Christian theocracies in the world

I would prefer a Christian theocracy. Even in one of those, you would find a number of people who would be willing to secretly help out those who aren't part of the standing Orthodoxy at the risk of their own lives and liberties. Eastern culture is much less passively resistent since it never developed the concept of individual freedoms.
In regards to the second part of the question, I think there are sects in both religions that wish to establish a theocracy. Many Christians would resist a theocracy for fear that their sect or other minor sects would suffer persecution under a theocratic system. This is especially true of many Protestants whose groups keep alive the history of their suffering at the hands of the Catholic church in Europe. (Many American Catholics would also resist it as well, I was not attempting to disparrage them).

Being a christian, I'd have to pick Christian but the problem is I do not think like the Christian right person at all being a leftist feeling they are misintpreting what jesus taught..and they, the christian right, are the ones who would enforce such a thing, so it would likely not be good, but it would be my first pick of the two.
I think the difference is the Moslems know they want a theocracy, the American Christians (on the right) aren't that aware that is what they are pushing for..they just are egocentric in their desire to do things as they interpret the bible wants (but they are misreading things).
I also think living in a moslem theocracy would be the most scary and life changing.

Western society is presently very heavily influenced by the Christian faith. Increasingly so in the USA.
Given that the demographic of Yahoo Answers is also very western I would expect most people to say they would prefer a Christian theocracy.

Either would be preferrable to the kind of society we are modeling ourselves after currently - namely atheistic communist.
This is because either of the above would provide a framework for conduct of self and of government which western society sorely lacks. Rightly or wrongly in some cases, society would be much more well ordered and would adapt in positive ways, creating a certain level of coherance.
Communist philosophy, (which under the guise of "liberalism" has become the dominant world view), is based in protest and victimhood. Such a system will always create strife and oppression, yielding up power to the few over the many, without the checks and balances that systems of religious thought necessarily create.
That is to say, in a communist system, the government is not restrained by any common vision, or by divine principle. Communism, having no such boundaries, allows for government to openly slaughter dissidents for no other reason than self interest. Any action by a theocratical government, would be weighed by the people on the basis of its adherance to enshrined doctrine. Any action by a communist government is seen as justifiable, since the ends always justify the means.

coming from I think a pretty open minded Christian, had anyone really looked at how the 2 different faiths started, it was something much smaller than you think as far as how it STARTED in the begining. I think both faiths have made mistakes based on mans interpretation, I know Christian history allot more and know we have made some terrible terrible bloody mistakes. I do think its very sad both faiths can be altered by extremist, where Mans will, Not Gods will has spoken.

it's impossible for me to give an unbiased answer to this as a Christian.. but I think if I was an atheist, I'd feel safer living in a Christian theocracy than a Muslim theocracy..

I would battle to the death to avoid living in either. Any theocracy is an evil thing. (There have been christian theocracies in the past, and they were just as brutal as the muslims).
