Wanna know something funny ?
I think 1 person answered the question, kinda. I asked "looking back, what's your conclusion as to why ANYBODY thought he was innocent ? " Now do you see any answers to that ?

Bad jury. End of subject.

I lied, there's more. The liberal media fed us daily assessments of Marcia Clark's hair, wardrobe and personal life.

PC probably played a part. Wouldn't it be politically incorrect to hang a black male for killing a white woman?

Don't think it was the jury, pull the transcript. I cut my law teeth on this case, as I was in law school at the time. The evidence was there to convict.

Because he killed two people, and got away with it due to a combination of money and inept handling by the L.A. County DA's office.
Now he wants to make more money from the suffering and deaths of these two people by publishing a book about how he might have done it and going on TV to talk about the book. Even if it wasn't the most tasteless thing on TV since his sordid trial, it would be allowing a criminal to take advantage of the fact that he can't be re-prosecuted for murder to brag about what he did.
I think the Brown & Goldman families ought to go after every single penny he got from the advance on this book. I also think they ought to sue the publishing company and Fox Inc. for even entertaining the idea of giving this monster a venue.

Enough of the people who thought he was guilty got pissed that he was making more money off of the murders. I think it was a financial decision. Fox and Murdock decided that they would loose more in advertising revenue than they would make on the book. If they were interested in making the "right" decision they never would have agreed to the project in the first place.
I never have understood how after a 9 month trial a jury could reach a verdict after only 3 hours.

Well, I'm pretty sure we all now know OJ was guilty. This book was clearly a cynical attempt by Rupert Murdoch and Newscorp , the owners of the publisher, to profit from this great tragedy. They have no shame, as well all know. The book would have sold great, but at the renenewed expense of the victims' families. I guess enough outcry made the Fox people rethink a truly tasteless decision.

The publishers thought they'd make $$$, so they went for it! Once they saw the public outcry, they backed down. Smart move, it wouldn't have been pretty. OJ proved once and for all he is guilty, he is sick, and he doesn't care about either. Hell yeah I'm glad that book didn't get printed, I wouldn't want a single dime going into that guy's pocket, all for killing 2 people. Hell, what a world, where a man can come close to making money for murder. He should'a hung

Yeah the race card was funny...OJ married a white woman. Not really the poster child for promoting black people, eh?

Do you think he is still spending every waking moment looking for their murderer? lol

EDIT: Your question is broken up in such a way that it was impossible to read it as 'looking back, what's your conclusion to why...anybody thought he was innocent'. Simple mistake, not on purpose. SHEESH! And nobody thought he was innocent. The ruling was NOT GUILTY. That isn';t the same as INNOCENT. The jury ruled the way they had to, given the evidence they were ALLOWED TO SEE.

Listen, O.J. Simpleton is a lying sack of crap. The move that Fox pulled was nothing but a publicity stunt to boost there falling ratings. O.J. is a duche bag who needs to crawl back into whatever hole he was living in.

They figure they'll make more money on the Black Market...The whole thing was a publicity stunt...Great for FOX ratings now that they changed their minds. You'll see what I'm talking about.

UM, because he's a murderer who got set free? No one thinks a murderer should be making money off the fact he got away with.....murder...

I think it was because the title was "If I did it" and in the book he supposedly talks about how he would kill her. Kind of disturbing if you ask me.
