I'm currently reading Salman Rushdie's "Shalimar The Clown" and so far it's an amazing read...as are most of his novels.

I'm always reading good books. I just finished Ann Rule's book Empty Promises last night and I read Robert Ross's Don't Close Your Eyes last week, both were really good books.

Ann Rule writes true crime stories, Empty Promises has been out a few years I was just picking thru the paperback section at the library when I picked it up.

Don't Close Your Eyes is a horror/suspense novel thats also been out a few years, its about an evil presence that reaches people thru their dreams.

I also read John Grisham's The Last Juror a couple of weeks ago - its a nice story about a newspaper editor's friendship in a small town. Since its Grisham of course theres a little of a legal story going on but in this book its not the main story.

Another really good book, Stephen King's From a Buick 8 - its suspsense but its not violent or bloody like some of his books can be. From a Buick 8 is about a car that just kind of shows up, it doesn't have a gas tank or an engine. Its impounded by the police and during its time as an impound all kinds of strange things happen in an around the car.

None of these books are on new release. The last new release I read was about six weeks ago and it was called The Haunted Rectory by Katherine Valentine - she has a series of books out about a little community in New England and this was part of her series. She writes Christian fiction - with a Catholic slant. For an uplifting read, any of her books are great.

I just finished reading a book called "Justin Thyme". I actually bought it for my kids, but after reading a couple of chapters to them at bedtimes, I swiped the book for myself! HA!!!

It's got everything: spies, time travel, memory-loss, a teenage billionaire, a computer-literate gorilla, the Loch Ness Monster and an eight-legged cat! It's full of all manner of cryptic clues hidden in the text, and even though I finished it almost a week ago, I can't resist sneaking it out of my kids' room at night and trying to find just one more hidden clue.

It's great for kids, but I'd recommend it to any adults who've read Harry Potter of Dark Materials trilogy.

I'm currently reading "Dracula," and it's the first time I've read one of those books that founded a genre (i.e. "War of the Worlds," "Lord of the Rings") and actually enjoyed it.

Before that, the last good book I read was probably "Lord of the Barnyard" by Tristan Egolf or re-reading "Demons" by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Looking for something to read, then, are we?

A good book is relative, don't you think?
But here's a few titles:
'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle
'Think & Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill
'Secrets of a Millionaire Mind' by T.Harv Ecker
Enjoy!
