Rainbow Six, but it is more of a tactical close encounter type of gameplay. For real war gaming, I would recommend the Ghost Recon series. It is one of the most realistic military games out there. Most of the battles and skirmishes are fought across distances of 50-250 yards, which is where real firefights occur during battle.
