I did turn off the IE pop-up blocker, and my Yahoo! pop-up blocker. I've done everything suggested but it isn't working,... :-( when it blocks it, my mouse turns into a sqare with a read ex over it that says pop-ups or something like that..

There are a couple of programs, or add-ons, which may be blocking pop-ups for you, including:
1. Internet Explorer itself (is this the one you turned off?)
2. IE Add-on Toolbars - Yahoo, Google, etc.
3. Programs like F-secure, Norton Firewall, etc.
Check all these programs or add-ons.

It sounds like you have XP Service Pack 2 which sets IE up to block popups and active x scripts. You can change that by open up IE, click tools, open up internet options, then click the privacy tab. Uncheck block pop ups. You should be all set. Hope that helps

First go to Tools-> Internet Options -> Privacy.
See if the lower check box doesn't have "Block Pop-up's" enabled.
Then see what tool bars you have installed. Either from Yahoo, Google, MySearchBar they all include pop-up blockers.
Look through the settings and there is usually a way of deactivating them.
Get Opera! :)

How many pop-up blockers do you think you have? Make sure that in the view>toolbars( from the browser menu)that all of the toolbars are showing and that they are all off. There maybe a toolbar that isn't showing that does have a pop-up blocker on.
You could also try holding down the "Ctrl" key when you click on the link that is suppose to open the pop-up window.

Try shutting off your firewall. Also are you using Windows Xp service pack 2? Open IE - go to Tools - PopUp Blocker - turn off.
