Guinness World Records lists the smallest book in the world as a Siberian Anatoliy Konenko's 1996 limited edition of Anton Chekhov's short story "The Chameleon", with 100 copies produced, 50 in English and 50 in Russian, measuring just .9 by .9 millimeters. It has three illustrations and one can be seen in the article about it from the University of Cincinnati website. The first nine copies also were given miniature bookplates, two which measured .7 by .7 millimeters, the smallest bookplates in the world and certain contenders for the smallest drawings in the world.
