OK big news Michael Richards lost his cool and launched an unacceptable string of verbal filth in retaliation for 2 untra-dooshbags who were proving they should be beaten and not heard.
Why did people demand the Club apologize for the incident?
Do people think the Club told him to do this?
Did the Club have access to a time machine to be able to see what would happen and not change it because they like those words?
Isn't it unreasonable, unprofessional, immoral, and just plain old horrible to blame an innocent club who just wanted to help people laugh for the actions of a seperate individual?

If we were at my house it would be a private affair not a public venue. which are 2 different things
BUT if I were at my house I would turn to the one yelling and say "Hey shut the F up you ******" however I would feel no remorse myself as I did nothing wrong.
Now for the Club this is even more true..they did nothing wrong..he has never been a controversial comic..they NOTHING to apologize for..it is just the usual BS that comes out where the whole world has to get down and kiss someone's bum because "Oh holy of holies I was offended by something a TOTALLY DIFFERENT person said so I demand you apologize too because I am blaming everyone everywhere for this, oh my virgin ears"
I think the people who demanded an apology from the club should have to cut off a hand or leg in apology TO the Club

BK: I sound like a moron? You sound like a good advertisement for forced sterilazation of all humanity.
.
The 2 guys had called michael names and to say otherwise is a flat out bald faced lie..but then again you are probably a liar anyway.
They club could have thrown rocks, the club could have spent $3 billion on racial awareness but it is NOT THEIR F'N DUTY to apologize for what OTHER PEOPLE DID.
Did the 2 men apologize for starting the entire thing? they are 3,000,000,000% more responsible than the club but I have not heard any sorries ffrom them. Also have not heard one person say they should.

By the way let me clear something up since I guess BK has trouble reading.
I am in no way supporting Richard's actions..he was flat out wrong.
The club was blameless and people called on them to apologize..that is wrong as they were innocent. Even if the reports were all wrong and club did it all on its own..still wrong.
Should I apologize for the invasion of Russia by Germany in WW2 since I live in America? It cheapens the idea of responsibility if everyone who has nothing to do with an action jumps in to claim they apologize. PC culture gone amok and overboard.

sleepy:: I agree it divides the cultures which is wrong but it is bringing up something that should also be addressed. The racist comments have to be given equal weight. So either everyone can say the N word like everyone can say honkey or honkey has to be given as terrible and disgusting a conotation as the N word.
I think the basic precept of the people saying this is it is not fair that anyone can say anything to a white and expect nothing but smiles while if a white person says something it is a big deal.
It should ALL be a big deal or NONE of it should be

Some people (although I do not agree) that the club booked the act and so they have a certain responsibility to their patrons to return their money or apologize to people that came to the club for a good time.
As I said, I don't agree with that. I think the club's only responsibility at this point would be to bar Michael Richards from ever appearing on their stage again. Unless public opinion changes, I believe that allowing him back on stage at their club basically condones his attitude and his conduct.

What this situation is REALLY about most people are missing. It is not about Michael Richard's racism -- is about the double standard that blacks expect in America. If a black comedian uses the word "honky" or "cracker" nobody bats an eye because whites choose to not be offended by those terms. I could not care less if some black comic calls a white person a cracker or a honky. But blacks have chosen to create this taboo aura around the use of the word n i gg e r so that no one EXCEPT BLACKS CAN USE IT. Blacks call one another n i gg e r all day every day and no one is supposed to bat an eye. It is all right if blacks use it. But whites can't. Mexicans can't. Asians can't. Only blacks get to use that word. What if we as whites suddenly said that only WE can use words like, "graduate", "not guilty", "educated" and we said that blacks cannot use those words--only WE can. Blacks would be screaming within five minutes that we were racist. Yet when blacks choose to only get to use the word n i gg e r it is the EXACT same thing. That proves that blacks don't really mean it when they claim they want to be treated equally--they don't. They want SPECIAL treatment. In effect, they are saying, "WE can use this term but no one else can." Translated that means, "We want to have special privileges that others don't enjoy." Therefore in an ironic twist that only O.Henry would truly appreciate, it is the BLACK community that really demonstrates the most racism over this whole Michael Richards episode much more than Michael Richards does. Ironic huh?

Michael Richards, as Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld was the only reason to watch the BORING show. Not that I ever watched it. (Not all the time anyway.)
So he flipped out. He said some bad things. How many people haven't got mad at someone else? At the moment he just said whatever. He said he apologized, and if he is true with his apology. We just need to let it go. I think the guy can be very funny.
My concern is what took place before he flipped out. How would you feel if you was him in that situation. Just say it was some Hispanic people or even Asian people.
Michael Richards still has my support.

NO ONE BLAMED THE CLUB! THEY WANTED TO SAY SORRY BECAUSE HE DIDN'T SAY SORRY ON SATURDAY BEFORE HIS SET LIKE HE PROMISED!
And for the ****** above me, the n-word wouldn't have been unforgivable but he went on to talk about 50 yrs ago how they would be hanging and how they shouldn't interrupt a white man! If chris rock says cracker he doesn't purposely try to hurt and offend the person like richards did! the whole thing is extra terrible because it's driving a bigger gap between white people and black people. It's bringing up alot of old hate. Now everytime I read a response from some white guy, it makes me angry at all white guys and it shouldn't be like that. Black people and White people are going back to the old "us against them". And that's makes me mad that he brought all that back
AND HOW DARE YOU EVER ASSUME THAT BLACK PEOLE ARE UNEDUCATED AND CRIMINALS!!!!!!!! MY FATHER HAS A DEGREE IN MATH, THEOLOGY, COMPUTER SCIENCE, AND SPENT 20 YRS IN THE ARMY! MY MOTHER IS AN ADMINISTATOR FOR A SCHOOL DISTRICT! MY SISTER IS PRE-MED AND MY OTHER SISTER HAS GRADUATED WITH A DEGREE IN ENGLISH AND I AM CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN SCHOOL FOR GRAPHIC ARTS AND POLITICAL SCIENCE! YOU ARE WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR COUNTRY TODAY. YOU ARE TEN TIMES MORE DIGUSTING THEN RICHARDS

A. They could have turned off the mic
B. They could have physically escorted him off the stage when
things began to escalate.
C. They allowed him to perform the next night after his insulting
behavior.
D. You sound like a moron. Hecklers are common in this field.
He should have hiked up his skirt and walked off the stage if
saying "My friend does not find you funny" pushed him to that
stupidity.
E. Not every black person uses that derogate word. In fact
most blacks don't. It is used in the rap world, and I do think it
should be stopped. It is sad to see how many callous
persons are.
Most cultures have derogate names that apply to them. Are they more willing to forgive and forget. If you think so post those words. See what reaction you'll receive.
And yes Shaz you are a moron.
Sterilization, I thought that was what the doctor uttered after he delivered you.

I think what he did was wrong and he should apologize. But, I have seen black comedians call Asians, and Whites names too and nothing is said about that - it is a double standard. All of them need to stop picking on a certain group of people because people are people no matter what the color of their skin is.The club should not have to apologize as they did nothing wrong, only Michael Richards should.

I would like to ask this question............Why is it that any black person can say just about anything they want about white people ........white trash etc. but when white people talk trash about blacks it is never accepted. One more comment....I never refer to any white people as Irish Americans or European Americans and that is because I believe that if you are born in the United Sates you are white ,black ,Asian,Hispanic or whatever not African American unless you were actually born in Africa.
